Hamentashen Cookies
Ingredients For Hamentashen Cookies:
Sift Together:
3 cups flour
1/2-cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Mix together before adding to recipe:
1 cup Crisco or margarine
2 egg yolks
1/2-teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup orange juice and some grated rind
Instructions For Hamentashen Cookies:
Blend Crisco into flour mixture, mix well, and add 2 egg yolks, mix and knead on floured board. Separate into 4 parts, roll out and cut into 2-inch circles and fill, then fold as in picture at top of this page.
Bake hamentashen cookies on a sheet pan using a baking liner.
Bake hamentashen cookies at 350 degrease for 35 to 40 minutes, watch cookies when baking checking frequently until you get the feel for them.
